Project Visibility provides cultural responsiveness training to help service providers become more informed, sensitive to, and supportive of the needs of LGBTQI older adults and their families. Pima Council on Aging coordinates a community collaborations to provide this no-cost training, with the support of the LGBT&S Alliance Fund (a Fund of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona), and in partnership with Southern Arizona Senior Pride. This training includes screening of a DVD featuring personal interviews with LGBTQI elders and care providers, supportive interactive discussion, and a manual on making inclusive and practical changes at long term care communities, and other organizations serving older adults.
