Rachel Wilson has been living in Tucson AZ for over twenty years, holding both a PhD and a law degree from the University of Arizona. She has long advocated for the rights of immigrants while working for Justice for Janitors, Southern Arizona Legal Aid and the Asylum Program of Southern Arizona. As a public defender, she won a precedent-setting case protecting the rights of children. In 2009, she was named Legal Aid Attorney of the Year by the State Bar of Arizona. She has lived abroad multiple times and is fluent in Spanish and Russian. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
In 2016 Rachel was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach and conduct research on issues related to migration.
