Rachel Wilson¬†has¬†been living¬†in Tucson AZ for over twenty years, holding both a PhD and a law degree from the University of Arizona. She¬†has long advocated for the rights of immigrants while working for¬†Justice for Janitors,¬†Southern Arizona Legal Aid¬†and the¬†Asylum Program of Southern Arizona.¬†As a public defender, she won a¬†precedent-setting case¬†protecting the rights of children. In 2009, she was named¬†Legal Aid Attorney of the Year¬†by the State Bar of Arizona. She has lived abroad multiple times and is fluent in¬†Spanish¬†and¬†Russian. She is a member of the¬†American Immigration Lawyers Association.
In 2016 Rachel was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach and conduct research on issues related to migration.
